Summary
The Abuja MOU Secretariat supports the implementation of the Abuja MOU, a regional agreement on port state control for the West Africa region. The wider purpose is to support adherence to international vessel safety and pollution control standards, by enabling port states to carry out inspections and implement control measures for foreign vessels using their ports. The CMOU Secretariat is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
